2008 Call for Participants

NACCHO will soon begin making committee, team and workgroup appointments for the 2008–2009 terms. We hope you will consider contributing to our exciting work.

Click here to view a list of the NACCHO committees, teams, and workgroups that are currently seeking participants, along with a brief description of each, and the time commitment involved. Please note that NACCHO pays for travel expenses and conference calls associated with most advisory group work.

Complete the online form

If you are interested in being considered for a committee, team, or workgroup position, please click here to fill out and submit the online form, making sure to:

• Rank in order the top three advisory groups for which you would like to be considered. Every attempt will be made to appoint members to their first choice; Please note that this will not always be possible. Note: A limited number of openings are available for most of the advisory groups.
• Briefly describe relevant expertise as it pertains to the selected group(s).
• Include all information requested.

Deadline for submission

The deadline for submission is May 23, 2008.

Who may apply

NACCHO encourages health officials and other local health department staff to consider offering their expertise in order to ensure the best possible products and services for our membership. THESE APPOINTMENTS ARE AVAILABLE TO NACCHO MEMBERS ONLY.

Members are asked to serve on only one committee, team or workgroup at a time.

Decision process

All appointments are made by the NACCHO President-Elect and Vice President.  This year, those officers are Gary Cox of Tulsa, OK (President-Elect) and Bruce Dart of Lincoln, NE (Vice President).

Applicants will be notified in writing of their status in late July.
