External Representatives

Tools to Take with You
External representatives are members appointed to represent NACCHO and/or local public health on an advisory body, task force, workgroup, etc. supported by a partner organization. External representatives are an important part of our association and allow NACCHO to have a presence in a wide variety of forums and maintain relationships with a wide variety of organizations and partners. These members are appointed by advisory group Chairs or the NACCHO President. As an external representative, make sure you touch base with lead staff for the most relevant NACCHO advisory group prior to attending your first meeting. Staff will provide you with background materials to help prepare you, including NACCHO's strategic plans, relevant policy statements, and publications. You can also review the guidance document available here to help you prepare for your role. One of your most important responsibilities as you represent NACCHO externally is to report back on your experience. This ensures that staff remains abreast of any developments and follows up in a timely way with any action steps that arise. After you attend a meeting, please take a moment and use the form below to report back on any important developments, discussions, or next steps. Once you submit the form, staff will follow up with you as needed. Thank you for your service! |
