NACCHO Forums

Active NACCHO members may elect to participate in one of the following forums:

  1. County Forum—For local government public health entities responsible for public health status and services within the jurisdictional boundary of a county or counties inclusive or exclusive of cities and towns within those boundaries.
  2. City Forum—For local government public health entities responsible for public health status and services within the jurisdictional boundaries of cities and towns.
  3. Metro Forum—For local government public health entities responsible for public health status and services within the jurisdictional boundaries of cities and/or counties with populations greater than 350,000.

The Role of the Forums is:

  • Representation of all sizes and types of jurisdictions on the Board of Directors.
  • Communication, discussion, and peer consultation among members on specialized issues.
  • Identification of issues of importance to the members and NACCHO Board.

Each Forum has an elected Chair and a Vice Chair, who serve no more than two consecutive two-year terms. The Chair and Vice Chair are members of the Board of Directors.

The participants in each Forum meet during the NACCHO annual conference in the summer and the American Public Health Association annual meeting in the fall.
