November 23, 2009 - Public Health Thank You Day It’s a day when we can step back and look to each other for support and acknowledgement of the incredible things all public health practitioners do for communities across the country. On behalf of NACCHO, I want to personally thank you all for your dedication, passion, and commitment to service that is the foundation of public health professionals everywhere. Practitioners in local health departments across the country are all working to improve health status, assure health equity, and prevent conditions from occurring that negatively impact population health. The diversity of services public health practitioners provide in their communities ensure every citizen is touched by their efforts every day. These efforts make public health work and ensure that all citizens have the opportunity to live in conditions that improve the quality of their lives. Your work is appreciated and your efforts are applauded. Thank you everyone for the work you do every day, everywhere!
