Prevention Messaging Research

Have you ever wondered why the public is so unaware of what community-based prevention does for them? And if it's so important, why does public health and prevention funding always get cut when national, state, and local budgets get tight?

NACCHO, the Partnership for Prevention, Trust for America's Health, American Public Health Association (APHA), Association of American Retired Persons (AARP), American Cancer Society and other national groups got together and decided to conduct public opinion research. The Herndon Alliance led the coalition. Celinda Lake Research Partners conducted the research (polling, focus groups, and in-depth interviews). We are currently working through how this information will be most useful to NACCHO and our members.
