One Community at a Time

It’s National Public Health Week, and this year’s goal is “A Healthier America: One Community at a Time.”

The H1N1 vaccination campaign showed the importance of important public health initiatives at the community level. Health officials and volunteers rallied together to vaccinate as many people as they could—focusing in the early stages of the vaccine campaign on children and adults with high-risk conditions such as asthma and diabetes.
