Public Health Photo Contest!
To build on Public Health Thank You Day, NACCHO is launching a photo contest starting November 21 and ending December 21! Participate and promote the public health work you do by taking a creative picture of the public health logo that reflects public health in action. Print the logo out and take a picture of it in an unexpected place. Or find the logo around the workplace and take a picture of it that says a thousand words. Be as creative as you can and submit as many photos as you like. Please provide a caption that gives the photo context. Submissions will be in a Facebook photo album, selected photos will appear on NACCHO’s Twitter feed and possibly on the homepage. A winner will be selected after the contest closes. If you need more information about the public health logo and terms of usage, please click here. Please send submissions to web@naccho.org. By participating in this contest, participants agree that NACCHO can use their submitted photos. NACCHO now offers members the chance to connect with us, and each other, using popular social media tools.
NACCHO's Communications Toolkit contains marketing and branding resources to help local health departments (LHDs) effectively communicate the value of local governmental public health, promote health and wellness, and build relationships with the media, policymakers, and the general public. It also features tips on how LHDs can use popular social media tools, such as Facebook and Twitter, to reach their communities. More » |
