NACCHO Annual 2009
|
Read all about it! The NACCHO Annual 2009 Preliminary Program provides a special sneak preview of the upcoming NACCHO Annual 2009 Conference. This once-a-year opportunity will take place in just a few short weeks in sunny Orlando, FL, at the beautiful Rosen Shingle Creek Resort! This year’s conference hotel is one of the state’s first Florida Green Lodging facilities. The NACCHO Annual 2009 conference theme, The New Public Health – Working Across Sectors to Leverage Investment in Communities, is both timely and action-oriented. Now more than ever, local health department leaders and their public health partners must come together to learn and discuss what it will take to create “the new public health” to measurably improve health outcomes and health benefits for our communities. NACCHO Annual 2009 offers a valuable opportunity for all attendees to step back to examine where we have been, where we are as public health leaders, and where we are headed. Arrive early and join us at a late breaking Town Hall Meeting on the H1N1 public health response on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 29. Additionally, the conference program will feature keynote presentations from experts in the field, including Dr. John Agwunobi, Wal-Mart's top health and wellness executive on Thursday, July 30, and Dr. Mary Wakefield, the recently appointed head of the Health Resources and Services Administration on Friday, July 31. Come to NACCHO Annual 2009 and select from more than 110 interactive sharing sessions and poster presentations on Thursday and Friday. New at NACCHO Annual 2009 are:
