H1N1/Public Health Preparedness Sessions Abound at NACCHO Annual 2010
NACCHO Annual 2010 is the place to be for over 30 cutting-edge training sessions on the 2009–2010 H1N1 response as well as on public health preparedness!
Explore the use of CDC’s Public Health Emergency Response (PHER) funds to attend NACCHO Annual 2010, set for July 14–16, in Memphis, TN. As stated in the original PHER funding opportunity announcement, travel for planning meetings, conferences, and trainings related to pandemic preparedness activities and other related costs for training and education of the public health workforce to support PHER activities will be approved, if they are within the scope of your jurisdiction’s grant.
PHER-funded awardees should keep in mind that, for any national meeting that is not devoted solely to pandemic preparedness or H1N1 influenza preparedness planning, response, or after-action reviews, costs charged to the PHER grant must be reasonable and in proportion to the PHER training and education received during the meeting. For more information, check with your jurisdiction’s fiscal officer or your CDC Division of State and Local Readiness project officer.
