Amy Ann Moore has worked as a trainer in tobacco-prevention and coalition-building for 18 years. She is a master trainer for Teens Against Tobacco Use, Not On Tobacco and the Quit-Tobacco Workshops and trainer for Freedom From Smoking. Ms. Moore has trained community coalitions to improve their identity, accomplish their mission and recruit and retain volunteers. Ms. Moore has been trained on several occasions in supporting coalitions to utilize the Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant (SPF SIG) and Parliamentary Procedure. Her work at the Ingham County Health Department supports Board of Health involvement in prevention activities, tobacco retailer licensing, increasing alcohol server training and increasing the total number of community quit-tobacco services. Ms. Moore is an active volunteer in the East Lansing Community serving as the Committee Chair for Boy Scout Troop 2, one of the oldest Troops in the National, the East Lansing Parks and Recreation Commission and along with her daughter serves as Co-Chair for the East Lansing Buffy the Vampire Slayer Fan Club.
