Ms. Andrea Williams has work experience that spans over a decade and has had several careers that have in common her care and concern for people. Her career began in Nashville, Davidson County, as a Respiratory Therapist. Her focus in health care began to shift to disease prevention and management. Andrea returned to school to complete master?s level training that would authenticate her passion to promote health in hard-to-reach communities. The goals of public health, justice, holistic care, and reducing health disparities are compatible with her life goals. Ms. Williams recently transitioned into the position of Community Development Coordinator with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. In this role Mrs. Williams works to mobilize various community based organizations and faith-based organizations to focus on the growing number of HIV/AIDS infections in youth and young adult communities. Moreover, Ms. Williams serves on several executive planning committees for various groups that focus on minority health issues.
