Erin Louis received her B.S. in Health Promotion from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, in 2005. Erin came to Kentucky to attend graduate school where she received her M.P.H. from the University of Kentucky, College of Public Health in December 2007. She began working for the Kentucky Public Health Leadership Institute in August 2005 as a part-time student research assistant. She now works full-time for the Kentucky Public Health Leadership Institute and Buckeye Bluegrass Regional Leadership Academy as the Program Manager. Responsibilities include developing program curricula, coordinating educational learning Summits; facilitating online learning modules; creating peer networks and communicating with current and past program scholars from across the state; selecting distance faculty for program events; collaborating and sharing resources with other state and regional public health leadership institutes; collaborating with state and regional training coordinators to provide continuing education offerings for public health practitioners; implementing and disseminating new and up-to-date workforce training efforts across Kentucky; and providing distance learning through new technologies.
