Alumni Membership

Former local health officials (LHOs) and leaders in local public health remain active in public health policy through NACCHO's alumni membership. Alumni members stay informed as well as share their knowledge, experience and perspective on local public health issues. Members participate on internal committees and represent NACCHO on various external task forces and boards. Members receive all NACCHO publications, and discounted member registration rates for NACCHO conferences.

To be eligible, an individual must show a history of active NACCHO membership and LHD involvement. Individuals who qualify for this category include former LHOs, past presidents, former board members and other appointed officials.

Affiliate Membership

NACCHO's affiliate membership provides opportunities for individuals, partner associations, local and federal government agencies, and nonprofit organizations interested in local governmental public health and the work of NACCHO. Becoming an affiliate member will open the door to invaluable networking, partnership and collaboration opportunities. We work closely with our affiliates to develop professional learning opportunities, advocate on behalf of local health department, provide leadership and policy recommendations, and much more.

Affiliate members receive:

  • Opportunities to network with nonprofit leaders
  • Exclusive partnership and collaboration opportunities with NACCHO
  • Discounted NACCHO membership dues for individuals within affiliate structure
  • Affiliate organizations will be listed on the NACCHO website with a direct link to the affiliate's website.
  • Priority will be given to affiliates as potential grant funding partners, as opportunities become available.
