Communications and Advocacy

Through press releases, Congressional testimony, newsletters, and reports, NACCHO communicates the work of local health departments to the media and the public. With member guidance and involvement and in partnership with other public health partners, NACCHO successfully works with Congress, federal officials, and federal agencies to address the concerns of local public health. We regularly monitor the issues and problems that local health departments address, and we are the principal source of authoritative national data and information on local health departments.
