Quality Improvement Toolkit
Welcome to Quality Improvement Toolkit!
Quality improvement (QI) in public health involves a deliberate improvement process focused on activities that are responsive to community needs and aimed at improving population health. This toolkit allows local health departments (LHDs) to search for QI resources to be adapted by LHDs as they learn about and apply QI processes.
All tools are categorized as follows:
- Literature: Intended for those new to QI, these tools provide background information on QI concepts and their application to public health.
- Tools & Templates: For those beginning to implement QI processes, these tools and templates can be used to facilitate QI activities.
- QI Examples: Highlighting the work of LHDs nationwide, these case examples and storyboards illustrate and narrate the implementation of QI projects.
- Organization-wide QI: For those advanced in QI efforts, these tools help to institutionalize QI so it becomes part of the agency culture.
