Keywords / Description:
The 2007 Virginia Epidemiology Profile was released in December 2007 and was developed by the state health department in conjunction with community partners. The community partners provide perspectives in the document that help the reader develop a better understanding of the populations at highest risk. The 2007 Virginia Epidemiology Profile consists of an overview of HIV/AIDS infection among special populations of Virginia residents. The second part of the report includes information on what individuals are accessing HIV/AIDS care services. This epidemiologic profile can be used as a guide for local health departments wishing to compile a similar community-driven epidemiologic profile.
