The Nebraska STD Control Program Syphilis Algorithm is based on an algorithm developed by the Division of STD Prevention at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for syphilis screening using a treponemal, or TrepSure test. This algorithm can be used to train nurses and other staff specializing in STD prevention to assist them in diagnosing patients with syphilis.
