As part of a quality improvement (QI) project, the Bethlehem Health Bureau (BHB) identified data collection, processing, and maintenance as areas for improvement. By using QI techniques (Fishbone Diagram, Process Mapping, and Root Cause Analysis), the Bureau developed and piloted a quality improvement process, and, based on recommendations, implemented a modified process for data collection, processing, and maintenance throughout the Bureau. As a result, BHB now has a consistent, accurate process to collect data.
