Creating Local Community Information Networks: Kittitas County Demonstration

In 2008 Kittitas County Public Health Department joined the local Community Health Information Exchange Network and introduced an electronic medical record into the department. This comprehensive toolkit contains information about the project including key challenges, factors for success, lessons learned and future plans. This toolkit will be useful for local health departments preparing to implement electronic medical records or integrate with a health information exchange.
