The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Division of Adolescent and School Health has two school curriculum assessments, one for physical education (Physical Education Curriculum Analysis Tool, PECAT) and one for health education (Health Education Curriculum Analysis Tool, HECAT). These can help schools select or develop appropriate and effective curricula in each area. HECAT includes various topic modules such as: alcohol and drugs, healthy eating, mental and emotional health, physical health, tobacco, safety, and violence prevention.
