Pediatric/Neonatal Disaster and Medical Surge Plan and Preparedness Toolkit

This plan and toolkit was designed by Contra Costa Emergency Medical Services to support emergency response, medical surge and disaster preparedness for children and neonates. It is consistent with the guidance from the National Commission on Children and Disaster and can be used by communities, hospitals, healthcare systems and emergency planners as a template for supporting their own pediatric emergency preparedness. The document is the first county-wide plan for pediatrics and neonates in California.
