Protocol for Use of Social Media for Case Investigations

The Spokane Regional Health District Disease Prevention and Reponse Division developed the following protocol to guide their use of social media profiles to contact original patients and/or notify partners of possible exposure to HIV, STDs, and other communicable diseases/infections. The use of social media for case investigation activities provides an additional medium to contact partners or original patients as needed.
