In response to the changing landscape of healthcare and local STD prevention and control efforts, NACCHO received funding from the CDC to develop a resource kit informed by five local health departments (LHDs) that have adapted their STD programs and worked with community partners to meet local STD prevention and control needs. LHDs and their partners can use the STD Program Adaptation and Partner Engagement Resource Kit to help guide their activities in this changing landscape.
For each LHD STD program model used to develop this Resource Kit, a summary of the program is provided, along with tools, resources, and lessons learned. The tools included are not defined as "best practices," but they have proven useful to the LHDs that developed them and can be modified to fit the needs of all users.
