Healthy & Active Communities Initiative Evaluation

In 2005, the Missouri Foundation for Health (MFH) launched the Healthy & Active Communities (H&AC) Initiative to promote healthy lifestyles and reduce obesity rates in Missouri. Since 2005, multiple funding strategies have been part of the Initiative, including Model Practice Building (MPB), Innovative Funding (IF), and Promising Strategies (PS). H&AC strategies have been designed to fund grantees to combat obesity through various innovative methods, including direct programming, the built environment, advocacy, and policy change.
