Developed by the YMCA, the guide "Making the Case to Stakeholders: Linking Policy and Environmental Strategies to Health Outcomes" focuses primarily on how to communicate with local decision makers on the importance of combating obesity by increasing opportunities for active living and healthy eating. While it does not specifically focus on health in all policies, the messages contained in this guide can be useful to local jurisdictions that are interested in communicating across sectors about the importance of using policy to improve health outcomes.
