Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Case Studies


The CDC has assembled a group of case studies from the Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) that are available for training use in applied epidemiology. They detail real public health problems such as: infectious diseases, chronic illnesses, occupational, and environmental health. Additionally, they cover epidemiologic basics such as outbreak investigation, surveillance, study design, data interpretation, and descriptive and analytic methods.
