The prevalence of obesity remains high among all youths, including preschool-aged children. However, no statistically significant increase has been observed since 1999–2000. This report used data from 11.6 million low-income children aged 2–4 years to examine trends in obesity prevalence among 40 states, the District of Columbia, and two territories. Small but significant declines in obesity among low-income preschoolers were observed in 19 of the 43 states/territories.
