The American Psychological Association (APA) offers the Behavioral and Social Science Volunteer Program (BSSV) free to community-based organizations, community planning groups, and local health departments. The BSSV is a national HIV prevention technical assistance program, made up of a network of psychologists, sociologists, anthropologists and public health experts. BSSV can assist with programs by helping to integrate theory into requests for proposals, improving evaluation efforts, and translating evaluation results into program models.
