POD Job Action Sheets Martha Wagaman This is an excellent comprehensive package of Job Action Sheets for a Point of Dispensing.  It includes not only duties for the particular role, but specifies to whom each position reports.  Each role is summarized by activity before, during, and after work-shift in one easy sheet - each makes a great reference sheet for the new or novice POD worker. 5 stars
Tool Rating: POD Job Action Sheets Deborah Hieronim The strength of this tool is its comprehensiveness – it includes JASs for each of 44 positions in a POD. For this reason, it could be used by both small and large health departments to pick and choose which positions are suitable for a particular jurisdiction. There may be ICS concerns, however; for example ten different team leads report to the Clinic Manager.  For a POD with such a large design, this may be stretching span of control. Regarding the “Dispenser” JAS, it should be noted that medications are not administered in a POD (as opposed to vaccination), therefore a licensed clinician in this case may not be required to staff this position, depending on State pharmacy law. Requiring licensed clinicians to give medications to clients in a POD may be diverting valuable personnel resources to an area where they are not necessarily needed. 4.5 stars
POD Job Action Sheets Joshua Carlyle I think these are a very useful set of Job Actions Sheets.  They include the basic information that workers would need to complete their duties.  I especially like that they are are limited to one page each.  The only issue I have with them is the use of ICS.  I would like to see them conform to standard ICS titles, and I don't agree with the use of Command and General Staff positions at PODs. 4.5 stars

These are very good basic JAS. I like the one page format. But my concern is there is no mention of SNS and all that is entailed in receiving and securing the asset. I think they need more detail.

I liked that these were single page job action sheets, however, I think that the “Before Your Shift” section could be removed from all of them and just a general information sheet could be created. This would leave more room for actual job descriptions and could still keep it at one page. I didn't think there was enough specific information for the job duties and some of the sheets really didn't even outline much at all (i.e. the dispensing sheet which is a crucial role). If I had to use these job action sheets to learn about my role in a POD I would not feel very comfortable. Also the Leader or Manager type sheets were inconsistent with regards to having information about managing staff and how to help them (schedule breaks, step in for them, etc).
