| The MRC provided staff to receive, repackage and distribute the strategic National Stockpile (SNS) of anti-viral prophylactics i.e. Tamiflu and Relenza to five regional counties and the Southern Ute and Ute Mountain Ute Tribal Nations.
MRC members trained in the N-95 fit testing "Train the Trainers" program by SJBH.
MRC is invited to serve on the Bayfield/Upper Pine River Fire District (UPFR) H1N1 Flu Task Force. SJBH and Bayfield/UPFR task force developed plans for UPFR to host Bayfield area POD vaccine clinics.
MRC members are trained by SJBH for the upcoming POD vaccine clinics.
Numerous meetings follow and planning accelerated as Pandemic developments occur.
Planning is completed for vaccine distribution. The first POD?s for Durango, Bayfield and Ignacio are scheduled for October 31, 2009 with completion scheduled for December 2009.
During events from April 6, 2009 thru December 12th, 2009 the MRC contributes staff as follows:
- 18 Total Vaccine Clinics in Elementary, Middle and High Schools;
- 6 at public health facilities.
MRC members served as Vaccinators, Screeners and Patient Check-in, SNS assistance, N-95 and POD Training and Planning.
26 Different MRC Medical and Support Members participated:
- 5 MDs
- 6 RNs
- 2 EMTs
- 13 Support Personnel
