»Testimonials from Local Health Departments...

"As per the letter from NACCHO requesting examples of collaboration between local health departments and March of Dimes Chapters, we would like to share an abstract outlining our Learn, Eat and Enjoy program which aims to improve the birth outcomes for women who might be at risk for having a poor birth outcome. This project is funded by the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation; the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District and the Texas Cooperative Extension Program of the Texas A&M University System partner together in providing prenatal care and nutrition education in a group setting to at-risk moms. Attached is the abstract submitted to this year's CityMatcCH conference, which also won an award as being "Most Replicable".
