Vote & Vax Resource Guide and Workshop The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Sickness Prevention Achieved through Regional Collaboration (SPARC) are once again promoting Vote & Vax, a national initiative aimed at assisting public health agencies to provide influenza vaccinations at polling places on Election Day. In addition, there will be a Vote & Vax workshop entitled “Vote and Vax in Your Town” at the ASTHO-NACCHO Joint Conference on September 9th, 2008 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. The workshop is free but pre-registration is required. This site will be updated frequently with information on vaccine supply and distribution; interim recommendations; and the latest information, updates, and public health resources and tools pertinent to local health departments. At the core of this guide are plans developed by local health departments that host two of NACCHO's Advanced Practice Centers, cutting-edge learning laboratories that develop and test tools and resources that help local health departments continue to work on all-hazards preparedness.
