NACCHO is committed to assisting local health departments (LHDs) in their preparedness efforts. NACCHO is always looking for promising efforts by LHDs to surmount challenges in their communities. These stories are told in the E-Link Newsletter, part of our Advanced Practice Centers program, and materials like plans and job action sheets can be shared through EQUIPh and STOCKbox, our searchable clearinghouses containing a range of preparedness tools.
NACCHO has also worked with partners to develop specific resources to help address preparedness challenges, as featured below.
NACCHO’s Preparedness Peer Assistance Network (PPAN) is a Web-based referral service that pairs LHDs' emergency preparedness practitioners to Peer Advisors in other LHDs for guidance on several topics related to preparedness.
