Capacity Building Awards

2008-09 Capacity Building Award (CBA) Application

The Office of the Surgeon General, Office of the Civilian Volunteer Medical Reserve Corps and the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) are pleased to announce the availability of Capacity Building Awards for the 2008-09 funding year.

 Awards are expected to be available in the amounts of:

  • $10,000 for new (and previously unfunded) units
  • $5,000 for units that have received Capacity Building Awards in previous years

CBA Application Notices

Saving your work: The CBA application site will automatically log you out if you do not click a button after 120 minutes. If you can not complete a page within two hours, please compose your answers to essay questions in a separate document and paste them into the application when you are ready to submit.

Logging in: If you have any trouble logging in to the application site, please contact Chicquita Hairston, 202-507-4224 or chairston@naccho.org.

Submitted applications: Once you begin to edit your application, it will be marked as "submitted" the next time you login.  However, you can continue to edit your application up until the September 15 deadline.  It will not be reviewed until after that date.
