The need for regional preparedness has been demonstrated through both actual terrorist events and local drills and exercises that have quickly overwhelmed the capacity of individual local public health systems. It is necessary to build response capacity across jurisdictional boundaries or organizational capacities. The need for a method or system to assist in planning and to assess the planning is critical. Project Public Health Ready (PPHR) has begun to address these needs by performing the following tasks:
