Tracking Webinars
In December 2008, the CDC will launch the National Environmental Public Health Tracking (EPHT) Network. The Network will serve as a database of standardized data that will provide scientific information on environmental exposures, adverse health conditions, and health outcomes. Currently CDC funds 16 states and one city to conduct environmental public health tracking activities. To enhance collaboration between state and local health departments and ensure inclusion of local public health perspectives, NACCHO and the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) have been sponsoring facilitated discussions in many of these states. These discussions are to open lines of communication among environmental health directors, identify needs and priorities for the EPHT program, and develop strategies to enhance effective communication and collaboration among state health agencies and local health departments on EPHT projects. For a listing of the webinars, visit the EPHT Webinars page. More »
