Climate Change Demonstration Sites

Local health departments (LHDs) were invited to submit applications in response to a request  to conduct a one-year demonstration project to provide support to LHDs towards increasing the level of coordination and communication between disparate programs involved in addressing the public health consequences of climate change.

The selected sites are:

• Imperial County Public Health Department (CA)
• Thurston County Public Health and Social Services Department (WA)
• Hennepin County Human Services and Public Health Department (MN)
• Orange County Health Department (FL)
• Austin/Travis County Health Department (TX) 
• Mercer County Health Department (IL)
