Epi-Ready

Epi-Ready, Foodborne Disease Epidemiology and Surveillance Training, was created in 2002 to train environmental and public health practitioners. The training presents the fundamentals of foodborne disease investigation, including disease causation and etiology, disease surveillance, interview techniques, outbreak investigation questionnaires, laboratory sample collection, and data interpretation. Epi-Ready also supports environmental and health professionals with foodborne disease epidemiology and surveillance training, and emerging issues and trends. It was created by the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA), in partnership with NCID and NACCHO.

Further details on training methodology, dates, and locations can be found on NEHA's Web site at http://www.neha.org/research/food_safety.html.
