Foodborne Illness Systems Public Health Region Surveillance Team 6 Background/Project Description Their project entitled, "Improving reporting of food borne diseases for the passive surveillance system in North Carolina" will enhance food borne illness reporting and outbreak investigation system in their locale. Major Objectives: Implement and evaluate an educational intervention using the NCCPHP (North Carolina Center for Public Health Preparedness) training website and its existing infrastructure; Develop three new online modules with regard to distinct North Carolina food borne disease reporting process and requirements for each professional group.
