NACCHO's Peer Assistance Network is a free Web-based service that connects LHDs and SACCHOs with peer advisors that have used the Operational Definition or are engaged in efforts that are consistent with the Operational Definition.

Whether implementing the Operational Definition in strategic planning, preparing for an accreditation process, or working on quality improvement, NACCHO can connect you with public health practitioners who can offer advice and expertise. Funding is available to support travel. 

The Peer Advisors are available to provide technical assistance or resources in the following areas:

• Implementing the Operational Definition
• Enhancing Quality Improvement
• Preparing for Accreditation
• Using the LHD Self-Assessment Tool for Accreditation Preparation
• Regionalizing public health services

To request a PAN Advisor, complete the Peer Advisor Request Form. You will receive a response to your request within 5 business days.
