Informatics Needs Assessment of LHDs
|
In 2009 and 2010, NACCHO, with support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, conducted an informatics needs assessment of local health departments (LHDs). This two-stage project collected information about current informatics capacity and needs within LHDs. The information will be used to both influence policy and decision-makers and to shape NACCHO's knowledge dissemination and technical assistance. The first stage consisted of an online, quantitative survey, which ran from November 2009 to January 2010. The second component was a series of focus groups, which were held in February and March 2010. Two reports containing descriptive statistics were published in May 2010. As future analyses are conducted more reports will be available. Final Reports The reports can be accessed through NACCHO's bookstore or directly using the links below. Other Resources
