Tulsa City-County Health Department |

| Overview: |
The THD Intranet Dashboard promotes collaboration between programs and administration.
Our goals are to enhance employees’ knowledge of the various programs within THD; provide a centralized location for data collection and reporting; provide easily accessible resources between programs; and provide access to internal and external staff development opportunities.
The initial outcomes of the THD Intranet Dashboard allowed for opportunities for internal employees to view internal employment opportunities; access Tulsa Health Department policies in an online form; attend internal and external online training courses; view, edit, and save standardized internal forms; read about internal current events and announcements; search for and view employee contact information and bios.

| Responsiveness and Innovation: |
We received feedback from employees and administration on the functionality and centralized form of accessing internal reports and company documentation.
We formed an Intranet Dashboard Committee. We also met with program staff to determine program related content to display on the program subsites.
|
| Agency and Community Roles: |
Each program within the LHD contributes to the design of their subsite. Each program has also designated a representative to participate in an Intranet Dashboard Committee. The Intranet Dashboard Committee allows THD programs to provide feedback to Information Technology Services on ways to improve and enhance THD Intranet Dashboard. It also allows Information Technology Services to coordinate with other THD programs to collect and report statistical activities within THD. The Intranet Dashboard Committee determines what type of information and statistics to publish on the Intranet Dashboard.
Disseminate program outcomes to upper management through the use of Dashboard designs, which will be incorporated into THD Intranet.
We are using the Intranet Dashboard to encourage collaboration between programs within THD.

| Costs and Expenditures: |
Our implementation and start-up costs included staffing, development software, and hardware. Staffing includes two Computer Application Development Specialists. Software costs include two administrator licenses, one server license, and 16-hour start-up training and consultation for Intranet Dashboard development software. Other software costs include the purchase of one administrator license for Xcelsius for Workgroups. Xcelsius is a data reporting/dashboard developement package. Hardware costs include one Windows 2003 Server. |

|
| Sustainability: |
We have sufficient stakeholder commitment to the practice. Management realizes that this tool provides an additional mechanism to improve the health outcomes within Tulsa County. Information Technology Services has built within the budget; the annual software maintenance costs and future hardware upgrade needs to continue the practice over time. |
