Welcome to the Preparedness Peer Assistance Network
The Preparedness Peer Assistance Network (PPAN) is a FREE Web-based referral service that pairs local health departments' (LHDs) emergency preparedness practitioners to subject matter experts in other LHDs for guidance and technical assistance on several topics related to preparedness.
The subject matter experts, known as, Peer Advisors, participate on a voluntary basis, and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Peer Advisors can provide technical assistance or resources in the following areas related to emergency preparedness:
- All Hazards Preparedness Planning
- Communication Infrastructure
- Epidemiology / Surveillance (Syndromic)
- Environmental Health
- Exercises Development and Evaluation
- Health Education
- Hurricane Preparedness
- Infectious Diseases
- Isolation and Quarantine
- Medical Reserve Corps (MRC)
- Mental Health
- NIMS / ICS
- Rural / Agricultural Preparedness
- Special Populations / Social Justice
- Surge Capacity
- Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) /Mass Dispensing

If you would like to be considered as a Peer Advisor, please complete the PPAN - Advisor Participation Form and send it to us at ppan@naccho.org . Peer Advisors will be evaluated individually and invited to participate on an ongoing basis.
