Forces of Change

NACCHO has released the 2014 Forces of Change data, containing new findings on the forces that affect change in our nation's local health departments (LHDs). Data on economic forces, health reform, and health department accreditation, among other variables, are available.

NACCHO encourages researchers to apply for Forces of Change data. Complete the following form and email it to the Profile Team (ProfileTeam@naccho.org) to request 2014 Forces of Change data. By doing so, you agree to NACCHO's Data Use Policy. Use the 2014 Forces of Change Codebook for reference.

2014 Forces of Change Findings

The 2014 Forces of Change survey contains findings on the forces affecting change in our nation's local health departments. Economic forces, health reform, and health department accreditation are among the greatest contributors to change. Findings are presented in five research briefs:

State-Level Budget Cuts and Job Losses

The following state-level estimates supplement national findings by providing information on cuts to local health department budgets and jobs for many states.
