The Northeast Regional Center for Excellence in Vector-Borne Diseases (NEVBD) is pleased to announce that applications for the Vector Biology Boot Camp are now open! The Vector Biology Boot Camp will be held May 13-16, 2019, at the Louis Calder Center of Fordham University. This hands-on learning experience is designed for vector surveillance and control professionals working in the Northeast region. The program covers tick and mosquito species of medical importance to this region, reviewing the latest methods for vector field collection and identification, best practices for surveillance and control program operations, and practical approaches to public communication and education. To ensure a rich educational experience for all attendees, this program is capped at 20 participants.
