The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is currently recruiting U.S. based healthcare professionals to assist with the development of a National Healthcare Disaster Certification (NHDC). The NHDC is now final phase of the development process involving the Standard Setting Panel (SSP) group. This portion aims to determine a recommended passing score, which is the level at which a candidate’s knowledge and skills are sufficient to achieve ANCC certification.
The organization is actively seeking individuals experienced in disaster preparedness, response and/or mitigation cycle to serve as content experts for the NHDC Standard Setting Study Panel. Candidates who are selected to participate in the standard setting study will attend a two-day meeting at ANCC headquarters. This meeting includes training to prepare the panelists to make collective judgments about the complexity of the exam.
Individuals interested in applying should complete this application and send it to [email protected]. Please direct any questions regarding the application, two-day meeting, eligibility requirements, and any other relevant inquires to Lourdes Careaga.
