Announcing Live Webcast: 2017 Preparedness Summit

Apr 19, 2017 | Anastasia Sonneman

For the first time ever, NACCHO will be broadcasting live from the 2017 Preparedness Summit, known as the premier conference for public health preparedness, taking place next week from April 25-28 in Atlanta. This year’s Preparedness Summit will focus on the “Forces of Change: Capabilities, Innovation and Partnerships,” engaging attendees to explore factors driving change in our world; their impact on the future of public health preparedness; and how to generate action for a stronger and more resilient nation. Live online webcasts will include the three main plenary sessions featuring renowned experts in biodefense, national health security, and technological innovation who will set the tone and spearhead conversation throughout the entire conference. NACCHO’s Preparedness Team staff also handpicked key conference events including education sessions, town halls, and workshops, which will be recorded and made available online shortly after the conference concludes.

By offering this option, NACCHO wants to ensure those who are unable to attend this year’s Preparedness Summit can still be a part of the conversation and have access to the many innovative resources and tools that will be presented throughout the duration of this week. Register now to view all three plenary sessions (live or recorded) and gain post-conference access to an additional 40 hours of recorded sessions. Plenary titles, dates, times and speakers are available below (click to view session descriptions featured in our previous blog).
