NACCHO is launching a new environmental health advice column in our monthly environmental health e-newsletter, The Greener Side of Local Public Health.
The new column, launching in the August 2018 issue of the e-newsletter, is called Greener Guidance. See all published columns here.
What can I submit?
Anyone is welcome to submit environmental health questions, challenges, or concerns to Greener Guidance. All questions will be anonymous in the column, unless otherwise specified.
Questions may pertain to particular environmental health challenges you are facing within your local health department, or it could be a broader environmental health concern.
Examples:
- I want to enroll my health department in the FDA Retail Program Standards, but I am having a hard to communicating the value to leadership. What can I say to convince them?
- I have heard a lot about Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) recently, but I don’t know if it’s a concern in my jurisdiction. What can I do to find out?
Who will answer my questions?
NACCHO’s environmental health program analysts will answer some of the questions, and for others we will look to experts in the field to provide the most comprehensive response possible.
