To support Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Preparedness and Response efforts at local health departments (LHDs), NACCHO and WASH experts from CDC are offering technical assistance to two (2) LHDs to implement the ‘What makes a water-prepared LHD?’ checklist in their jurisdictions. This checklist was developed by NACCHO’s WASH Emergency Preparedness and Response Workgroup members, who have diverse experience with WASH emergencies. The objective of this technical assistance is to improve WASH preparedness and response capabilities within LHDs.
