The CIFOR Guidelines for Foodborne Disease Outbreak Response (CIFOR Guidelines) are a comprehensive source of information on foodborne disease investigation and control for local, state and federal health agencies.
The Guidelines describe:
The overall approach to addressing foodborne disease outbreaks, including preparation, detection, investigation, control and follow-up.
The roles of key organizations in foodborne disease outbreaks.
The third edition of the CIFOR Guidelines , to be released in early 2020, will serve as an updated resource, reflecting the changes in the methods of detection, investigation and control of foodborne disease outbreaks.
A public comment period on the third edition is now open through Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019 at 11:59 PM PST.
Download a zip folder containing each chapter of the new Guidelines here .
